Two recording formats
Solo
Solo to-camera video, 3 angles
You, to camera, waist-up framing. Three angles recorded at once: a main angle and two secondary angles, so you can cut without the picture jumping. A useful format for an explainer video, a training module, or a run of vertical shorts cut from a single take.
Panel
Filmed podcast, 2 to 3 speakers
Four Sony cameras: a wide shot of the table and one framing per speaker. Editing can be done live during the session, or later from the files. Either way, you get the separate video tracks.

From booking to delivered files
- You book online. You choose the date and length of your shoot.
- You get the confirmation. With everything you need to prepare your session.
- You arrive 10 minutes early. Rachel or Giuseppe welcomes you, sets up the mics, and sets levels and lighting while you settle in.
- You record. Without an operator, you have the studio to yourselves and one of us stays reachable. With an operator, they stay in the gallery for the whole session.
- You get your files. Within the hour, via a secure download link, live for 30 days, with the separate audio and video tracks.
- If you have ordered post-production, you get the edit within 10 working days.
A set that will still look right in ten years
The studio has a refined, organic look, with no nod to a trend that will date the video in three years. That is the whole point of this set: an episode recorded today should be able to stay online in ten years without looking old.
The set is partly modular. Props, colours, seating positions, lighting design: you can switch up the look from one episode to the next without the place becoming unrecognisable.
The lighting is pre-set
Faces are lit cleanly, the background keeps its depth, and nothing shifts from the start of the session to the end. No colour shift to fix in the edit.
The acoustics are good
Acoustic panels on the walls and an isolated room. The recording does not sound hollow and there is no echo.
First time on camera?
That is true of most people who rent our studio. There is no audience, no countdown, no going live. You can slip up, stop, start your sentence again from the top. Anything that goes wrong is cut in the edit and no one will ever see it.
The first few minutes are always the stiffest. We usually start with a throwaway take, just so you hear your voice and see your framing. After that, it loosens up on its own.
One episode, or a whole series?
If you are going for a season, we record several episodes in one day and change the props, the colours and the lighting between each one, so it does not show in the edit. A well-planned day is often enough to cover a quarter of publishing.
The 5-session prepaid pack is made for this: 15% off, and you use your sessions whenever you like within twelve months.
Rachel and Giuseppe
One of us welcomes you, sets up the equipment and stays reachable for the whole session. If you take the operator option, one of us also steps into the gallery. Between us, we speak German, Swiss German, French, Italian, English, and even a little Spanish and Albanian.

To reach the studio you go down one flight of stairs on foot and there is no lift. The studio is therefore not suitable for people with reduced mobility.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need to bring my own gear?
No. The mics, the cameras, the lighting and the gallery are on site and already dialled in. Bring your ideas and your creativity. If you are set on using a particular piece of kit, tell us when you book and we will look together at whether it fits in.
How many people can record at once?
Three at most, with three mics. On video, each speaker has their own framing, plus a wide shot of the table. For the solo to-camera format, one person only, with three angles.
Is there parking? How do I come by public transport?
Free visitor spaces are available. By public transport, allow 4 minutes from Baden station on the route 2 bus.
In what format and how quickly are the files delivered?
You get a secure download link within the hour after the session ends. It holds the separate audio tracks, one per mic, and the separate video tracks, one per camera, in standard formats that every editing app reads.
Are the files archived? For how long?
The download link stays live for 30 days. Download and back up your files as soon as you receive them.
What is the cancellation policy?
Free up to 72 hours before the session. Between 72 and 24 hours, half the amount is still due. Less than 24 hours before, or for a no-show, the full session is charged. One free reschedule per booking, if you let us know within the same window.
Do I need experience to record here?
No, and most people who come have none. We set everything up, set the levels, and do a test take before starting for real. You can go again as many times as you like.
How long is a typical session?
Allow 1.5 to 2 hours for an episode of 45 to 60 minutes: setup, the test take, recording and a little margin. The length depends mostly on how experienced the speakers are.
Can I edit it myself?
Yes, and plenty of people do. You get the separate tracks, audio and video. Even if a live cut was done during the session, the ISO files are delivered to you, so you can re-edit everything differently.
How long does post-production take?
10 working days from the moment the quote is approved. If you have a tight publication date, tell us before the session.
Do you offer rates for companies or regular clients?
Yes. The hourly rate drops from the second hour, so a long session costs proportionally less. The pack of 5 prepaid sessions gives 15% off, to use within twelve months. For a larger volume or an annual contract, write to us.
Can I bring my own technician?
Yes. The gallery position is ready and your person can run the live cut. Let us know when you book so we can show them the setup before the session starts.
Is the studio wheelchair accessible?
No. You go down one flight of stairs on foot and there is no lift.
